Ingredients

Amounts are for 4 household servings. Sodium model: Montreal steak seasoning at ~1 tbsp per lb steak (McCormick Grill Mates tip; ~250 mg Na per 1/4 tsp original blend); smoked paprika negligible; no separate table salt on steak.

  • 1.67 lb sirloin steak, sliced thin against the grain
  • 10.7 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 6.7 oz baby spinach
  • 1 1/3 small onion, sliced
  • 2 2/3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/3 tbsp avocado oil
  • Montreal steak seasoning, to taste
  • smoked paprika, to taste

Grab first: Pre-sliced mushrooms, bagged baby spinach, Montreal steak seasoning, ask butcher to slice sirloin thin against the grain, or buy stir-fry beef strips

Directions

  1. Season steak ahead with Montreal steak seasoning and smoked paprika (no separate salt and pepper on the steak).
  2. Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear steak strips 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove.
  3. Lower heat to medium. Cook onion and mushrooms about 5 minutes. Add garlic for 30 seconds.
  4. Add spinach until wilted. Return steak to warm through.
  5. Serve.
